The Connect — Usage Service belongs to the Connect group of services within HSDP and is primarily responsible for collecting and aggregating usage metrics in the context of all the Connect IoT Services.

The Connect – Tunneling service provides the ability for clients to access a device which is usually in a private network and cannot be accessed directly via public IP address. The service provides this ability by establishing a connection tunnel over the internet and connecting both the source device (e.g. field engineer laptop) and target device (e.g. medical device in the hospital) to the established connection tunnel.
