The IoT Gateway service is the gateway for connected devices and applications to use HSDP Connect services through the MQTT protocol. MQTT is a lightweight messaging protocol that is designed to support scenarios where device are resource constrained and network bandwidth is limited.

The Connect — Firmware service provides the ability for clients and customers to update the firmware or software of their devices or mobile applications in the field. This allows customers to update their installed base of devices or applications ‘over-the-air’ with new features, updates, or fixes.
